A little explanation: I would love for you guys to have Ditching David for Christmas.
However, I only finished writing it yesterday. It still needs some editing and proofreading and formatting and stuff, before it’s ready for public consumption.
And as it happens, the various ebook platforms – Amazon, Barnes and Noble, iBooks, Kobo, etc. – shut down for the holidays. They close up shop a few days before the big day – in this case on December 22nd – and they don’t open their websites up again until after New Year. You can still buy things – they’re happy to sell you stuff – but I can’t upload new content.
That means I would have to edit, proof, format and upload Ditching David on four or five different platforms by Sunday night, and I just can’t do it.
However, I don’t want to leave you high and dry with nothing to read. 🙂 So… for the next couple of weeks, I’ll put up some excerpts right there on the blog. It won’t be the whole book, but it’ll be the first quarter or so.
Keep in mind these are unedited pages. There will be typos, and the final product may change in subtle ways, like a word or a sentence here or there. The story as you read it will be the story as it is, however.
So if you’re ready to get started, you can read the first three chapters of Ditching David below. And then you can come back next week and get a bit more.
